Roger Lie!
If Roger Clemens is going to lie to me I would rather him go all the way with the lie. Come out banging on tables like Rafael Palmeiro did. Go in front of Congress and demand justice. Tell me that you never at anytime did anything, that the claims are ludicrous and that this guy never got anywhere near your buttocks. Don’t give me this, “it was a Vitamin B-12 shot,” that excuse was tried remember? We didn’t believe Palmeiro when he tried it and we won’t believe Rocket either, whether he’s telling the truth or not. What’s next? On down the road will it turn into maybe it was steroids, “but I didn’t know what it was”? I would love to believe Roger Clemens is clean. But Santa season is over and I’m feeling awful cynical these days. I want a lie that I can believe not one that I’ve heard before.
