Santana To Mets
According to published reports the Mets are going to be getting Johan Santana from the Twins for four prospects and a new cotton parka. This trade works for me because as a Yankees fan he’s not going to Boston, the Yanks’ don’t have to hit against him anymore on a regular basis, and they didn’t mortgage the farm to try to get him. As for the Mets; unless you plan on pitching him five days in a row, you still got issues fellas. Glavine’s gone, Pedro’s done, and Johan ain’t gonna be cheap reworking this contract (early reports say 6 years, 150 million) . But it is the NL and you still should be good enough to make it to the playoffs. But then again, that’s like getting to second base with Paris Hilton; if that’s the best that you can do, why even bother.
