Shaq To Be Traded?
Apparently the Miami Heat are shopping the Diesel to the Phoenix Suns. According to the Sun-Sentinel.com:
Days after Heat coach Pat Riley said “there’s no truth” to an ESPN report that said the team was quietly shopping the center, one of O’Neal teammates said Tuesday “there are some rumblings” regarding O’Neal leaving the team.
According to ESPN, the Suns are interested in Shaq, and are rumored to be trying to put a package together based around Shawn Marion.
Boy if I was Shawn Marion I would give the Suns a big “no way in hell I’m going to Miami!” And isn’t this just like Shaq? To take some time off (I mean to rehab an injury) and then to get traded to a contender.
The best thing about this trade is that it would make the Phoenix/Lakers feud that’s developed over the last couple of season absolutely incredible if Shaq was back in the Western Conference. You know Kobe Bryant is waxing his nuts, getting them ready for the tea-bag dunk that he’d love to give Shaq. And you know that Shaq would love to give Kobe some of that hard action Kobe loves (allegedly) if he drove the lane. I say do it. Shaq’s not even entertaining in Miami right now, if they keep losing he’ll probably just retire gracefully and we all know that’s boring as hell.
