ThreeStrikesandOut

The NBA made up for the crap of some of their events with one of the best dunk contests in recent years.  It more than made up for that Shooting Stars competition that they had to start things out.  Nothing screams entertainment like WNBA players trying to make baskets from half-court.  I’m sure the WNBA has a target demographic.  I’m also sure that I’m not in it, and I’m okay with that.  Also, was there ever a time when the skills competition was entertaining?  The only way that would have been entertaining would have been if booby traps had been set up throughout the obstacle course.  How entertaining would it have been to have seen Chris Paul swallowed by a giant Venus Flytrap, or to see Steve Nash dropped into a pit of komodo dragons.  Maybe Jason Kidd picks up the wrong basketball and it explodes.  That would be entertaining.  Anyways, here’s some video of the dunk contest.  I’m just waiting for the day that one of these guys brings two half-naked strippers to the court to toss him the ball.  That’ll get a ten, guaranteed.
