Pettitte And Clemens No Longer BFF.
Andy Pettitte had at least one big understatement during his news conference today. When asked about his relationship with Roger Clemens, Pettitte admitted that the whole steroids thing had put a damper on their relationship. According to FoxSports:
Andy Pettitte has not spoken to Roger Clemens since giving a sworn statement which implicated his good friend in the use of human growth hormone.
“I think it’s put a strain on our friendship,” Pettitte said in an eagerly awaited news conference Monday at the New York Yankees’ spring training complex.
I guess so. Good thing that you guys are baseball players and not mafia or Andy would be inna whole mess a trouble. You dimed him out, Andy; of course he’s not going to return your calls. That’s why Clemens didn’t sound that confident when talking about your “friendship” and went back and forth between, “Andy is my friend”, and “Andy was my friend”. Damn, what Clemens did was bad, but Pettitte did ‘roids and he snitched. Barry Bonds of all people has friends that are willing to go to freaking prison for him. Pettitte rolled on Clemens when the wind started to blow toward him. I wonder how that conversation went….Probably nothing like this totally fictitious one:
Congress: “Andy we’re here today to…”
Andy: “Roger did it.”
Congress: “Actually we’re here to discuss your…”
Andy: I did it twice…no three times…Roger did that junk all the time. He snorted it, shot it into his veins, gave it to his wife he…
Congress: Thank you Andy.
Andy: No problem. God Bless.
The above conversation is totally fictional and represents a fictional baseball player named Andy talking to a fictional Congress, about a fictional man named Roger.
