According to Fox Sports, Trent Green has been cleared to play football this upcoming season.

You have got to be freaking kidding me.

At least though Green examined his options and his family trusts his choices:

“They trust me in that they know how thorough I am in my decision-making process. They know I will be diligent in seeking the advice of the correct doctors.”

Look, Trent Green has taken so many hits that the only decision that he should be allowed to make on his own is whether he wants chocolate or vanilla.  I don’t have any problem with the guy and I respect what he’s done but I’m tired of watching him get carted off the field and then walking around with that woozy look on his face.  He’s had a 14 year career and he should be thankful for that.  If he keeps pushing his luck he’s apt to end up on the same intellectual level as Paris Hilton and that contestant in Ms. Teen South Carolina.  Please Trent don’t do that to yourself.

I know how old this is.  I just don’t care.  True humor is ageless.
