Prongers’ Haynesworth Impersontation Costs Him Eight Games
According to ESPN, the Anaheim Ducks’ Chris Pronger has been suspended eight games for stomping the leg of the Canucks’ Ryan Kesler.
The statement said that Pronger is considered a repeat offender, and he will forfeit $609,756.08 in salary, which will go to the Players’ Emergency Assistance Fund.
“I’d like to apologize to Ryan Kesler, the Vancouver Canucks, my teammates and the National Hockey League for my actions last Wednesday night,” Pronger said in a statement. “While I did not intend to injure Ryan, I respect the league’s decision on this matter and look forward to returning to the ice and leading my teammates into the playoffs.”
Not sure, but I think that if I had to choose between getting stomped on the leg by a hockey player wearing skates, or getting spiked by Albert Haynesworth in the face while wearing cleats, I would choose neither. If I were feeling that risky, I’d just opt for doing Lindsey Lohan bareback, while sticking my finger in an open light socket, while the sprinkler system from my house is going off.
