These Rockets Are Doing It Legit
Somebody needs to pull the Houston Rockets off the rest of the NBA, and tell them that it’s just plain rude to refuse to lose games.
The Rockets won their 21st game in a row, Friday night, laying out the Bobcats 89-80, giving the Rockets possession of the second longest winning streak in the history of the NBA. The longest record is held by the 71-72 Lakers who won 33 games in a row. Even if the Rockets get by their next game, which is with the Lakers, they are unlikely to equal LA’s 33. But, that doesn’t mean that the streak is unimpressive. It’s probably the most impressive winning streak I’ve seen since I beat all those five-year olds out of their marbles last week. I was en fuego. Unstoppable. Tracy McGrady had nothing on me.
As impressive as their winning is though, they did beat the Bobcats. That should really only count for about half a win.
