Can you imagine if something like this had happened during the 1980s?  A women’s basketball player decides that since she’s not good enough to play for the United States that she’ll just go and play for the Russian team?  If this had happened during the early 80’s Reagan would have had her citizenship revoked and the Soviets would have utilized it as a tremendous coup for the superiority of the Soviet Union, that our own players wanted to play for the Russian side.  Like they needed it; believe it or not youngins’ the Russians used to kick our American asses at the Olympics. 

You have to love her logic too; “It pays more”.  That’s usually the reason people commit treason, because it pays more to work for the other side.  I’m not accusing her of treason, but she obviously has no idea of what the true meaning of the Olympics are, nor does she have any kind of pride in her nationality or in her country.  This is so ridiculous as to defy belief.  She has the right to do this; but I also have to right to say that this is one of the most selfish acts that I have ever seen an athlete in any sport commit.  We come down on TO for celebrating in the end-zone and his locker room behavior, but I have to say that her decision to do this is worse than anything that Owens has ever done.  I haven’t used her name in this post for a reason.  She’s now the woman without a country. What a fucking joke.
