No Reason To Thank Me Detroit
The Detroit Tigers defeated the Cleveland Indians 13-2 Wednesday night, beating the hell out of C.C. Sabathia in the process, and swinging the bat like we all thought they would. The win is also impressive because it is the third straight game that the Tigers have won. And Detroit, you can thank me for it.
The recent winning streak started just hours after the Tigers were named the weekly Whiffer of the Week.
And of course we all know that’s the real reason for the hot streak.
Don’t tell me that it’s because of Jim Leyland’s chewing out of his team. Don’t tell me it’s because Cabrera and Renteria are finally swinging the bat well. We all know the Tigers are receiving the benefits of “Negative Reinforcement” and that they have yours truly to thank for it.
It’s so great knowing that these powers can be used for good as well as evil.
I may shed a tear.
No wait, Mussina’s not pitching for the Yanks tonight, so I’ll save that cry for later. In the meantime; good job Detroit! Maybe if I named myself Whiffer of the Week, I’d finally get laid this decade. Hmmmmm.
