That Pau Gasol Trade Was a Pretty Good Idea
For the Lakers that is.
The big Spaniard went off on the defenseless (literally) Denver Nuggets, Sunday, putting up Kobe Bryant numbers in the Lakers’ 128-114 beating of the Nuggets.
Gasol’s line read a little something like; 36/16/8.
Kobe Bryant had this to say:
“This just ain’t Memphis. I think this offense has freed him up a little bit and showcased more what he can do instead of just being in the post all the time.”
No, it’s not Memphis. Memphis may be the only city whose college team would beat the pro team by double digits.
Lakers win, AI gets ejected, Kobe scores a “quiet” 32. Next game, folks. Unless the Nuggets D up just a little bit, this series isn’t going longer than five games. Gotta love the DUI chants. Jeff Van Gundy said it was “low brow” of the crowd to chant that at ‘Melo. No, Jeff what’s low-brow is Melo driving lit-up at four in the morning, and risking the lives of others in the process, when he had the money to rent a freaking limo if he’d wanted to. If the worst that ‘Melo gets is being made fun of in a basketball game, he’s doing okay.
