I haven’t really talked about the whole bloggers vs. newspapers argument that happened on Bob Costas’ HBO special a week or so ago, because honestly, I’m tired of writing about the issue. I’ve ripped into Tony, I’ve ripped into Bob, and I’m not going to waste my time ripping on Buzz Bissinger, who made an ass of himself on the show by tearing into Deadspin’s Will Leitch, with a fervor that was almost religious. The newsprint folks are going to view bloggers and the new media in the same way that factory workers used to view automated machines; as a threat to the security of their positions, and no amount of arguing is going to change their stance on the subject. But for those of you that want to know more about the whole incident, The Big Lead is your Site of the Night. TBL got an interview with Bissinger, who discusses his behavior on the show, and his views on blogging, which apparently have changed since last week. Right.
