Will The Real LeBron James Please Stand Up?
Celtics beat Cavaliers: 89-73
Network TV beat out the Celtics over the Cavs, in terms of gaining my interest. Halfway through the second quarter, I deemed this game unwatchable, and found other things to occupy my time. Unless LeBron James decides to take off the training wheels, this is going to be a short series. If I’m wrong about defensive basketball being terrible; I don’t want to be right.
Spurs 110; New Orleans 99
Die, die, why won’t you die! I’ll believe the Spurs are done when someone pries the trophy from Timmy Duncan’s cold, dead hands. Chris Paul went ballistic on the Spurs, scoring 35, but the most underrated man in basketball, Manu Ginobli scored 31 points as did the little French guy, Tony Parker, and the Spurs brought the series closer by one game.
Wow, other than Game One of the Spurs/Suns; the playoffs have really been about as under-whelming as seeing Showgirls after years of Saved by the Bell reruns. Just not what I expected at all.
