Louisville Wide Receiver Shot-Expected To Recover
I thought that having to go to my uncle’s funeral over the fourth was a bad way to spend the holiday. At least I didn’t get shot.
That’s what happened to Louisville wide receiver Trent Guy, who according to reports was shot in the back while leaving a club. From ESPN:
Police said there have been no arrests and they are investigating.
Gasparro said an argument was sparked after a man touched Guy’s fiance at the club. The club asked them to leave. On the way to Guy’s car, two men — one having clashed with Guy at the club — opened fire on the victim and his fiance, Gasparro said.
Glad he’s going to be alright. I’m not sure that it made a difference here that he was an athlete; it sounds more like this was just one of those cases of a couple of guys going after someone that they think disrespected them. And severely over-reacted (serious understatement there). Sheesh. If that’s going to be the way that things like disrespecting peopls gets handled, I’d better quit now, cause I’ve disrespected so many people that it’s a miracle that I can even walk down the street, because I disrespect people daily. In fact I’m going to disrespect you by not finishing this…
