Fighting Apartheid One Canoe At a Time
While canoeing isn’t the first thing that I think of when I think Olympics, this is a good story. But it’s also kind of eye-opening. This is the first time ever that South Africa has paired a black man with a white one (sorry p.c. people the term African-American does not apply here, both men are African). I’m just amazed that it’s 2008 and we’re still having this kind of a first.
No humor here, just file this one away under the spirit of the Olympics. I’ll be back with something moderately funny later.
