Louisville looked pretty good when they were kicking my Vols all over Charlotte, but their ride ended less than 48 hours later, as the Cardinals and their fine-dressed coach, went down to the Tar Heels, 83-73, in a game that was much closer than the final score shows. Tyler Hansbrough, the Ping-Pong Warrior, took over this game in the second half, going for 28 points in the game with 20 second half points. White boy can ball. But I could have lived without the postgame with Roy Williams rambling on about how great T is. We get it he’s good.

In the other Saturday game, UCLA thanked Xavier for not showing up, as the Bruins needed no referee involvement to trounce the Musketeers, 76-57.  Kevin Love scored 19 points and showed the folks at home his range in an impressive display of 12-point shooting.  Video of Love’s half-court shots (which were much more entertaining than this game), and of Roy Williams and the Tyler Hansbrough Lovefest, after the jump. Villanova over Siena, 84-72.

Texas over Miami, 75-72.

Tennessee beats Butler in OT, 76-71.

In the WTF game of the day, Davidson with the upset over Georgetown, 74-70.

In the “Who’s going to get slaughtered by UCLA” game, Western Kentucky beat San Diego, 72-63.

Memphis shows why they couldn’t play in any conference other than Conference USA, with a close victory over Mississippi State, 77-74.

Oklahoma’s first string must have gotten lost on the way to the gym, as the Sooners were slaughtered by Louisville, 78-48.

North Carolina put the pigs on a spit and rolled the Arkansas Razorbacks, 108-77.

This morning on ESPN’s First Take, with that woman who hates Jesus; Bruce Weinstein, someone who has obviously never been laid, tells us that it’s bad to skip out on work to watch basketball, and that office betting is bad, because gambling is illegal.  I bet this guy still has dreams about the wedgies that the basketball team game him as a kid. That would explain it. ESPN should have brought out a couple of seven footers and had them throw him in a garbage can for old time’s sake.  You graduated,  it’s time to give back your hall monitor badge.
